Allyson Berger Interviews NewTek's Dr. Andrew Cross at NAB 2017

Allyson Berger of BeTerrific interviewed NewTek CTO and President Dr. Andrew Cross in the LiveU booth at NAB 2017. Dr. Cross shared his perceptions on what is changing at the show and in the video and broadcast production industry. One noteworthy change is that viewership online is larger now in many cases for an outlet than is the over-the-air or cable viewership. For example, many local news shows find more people watch on Facebook Live than by any other means.

Ironically, however, while more content than ever is being produced live, viewership of that same content is ever more often on-demand at the viewer’s convenience.
