New Major League Soccer Stadium Takes Fan Experience to the Cloud

Media capability is becoming the top consideration for sports venues looking to boost the fan experience. Prime example: the San Jose Earthquakes commenced their latest season in brand new Avaya Stadium, the first Cloud-enabled stadium in the MLS. And, “there’s an app for that” - the Avaya Stadium app gives the fans everything from a social media connection to stats and player info, and even a virtual ticket booth.
Avaya Stadium also has a host of video displays for the fans, plus all-digital signage for maximum sponsorship flexibility. In addition, the new venue has a video control room, something the old venue lacked. Even better, that room is stocked to bursting with the latest in sports video production technology, including NewTek 3Play.
